Welcome to Homekeeping With Grandma.
The fox watched the little rabbit jump from hole to hole as
the little rabbit ran from the fox, trying to find his
own safe hole. He didn't realize it, but the little
rabbit was actually teaching the running stitch,
one of the basic hand stitches in our book
Baby Steps and Little Stitches
which was written and illustrated by
a grandmother for her grandchildren.
In the same way, two other stitches
are described in the voice of a little
girl, for children 6-8 to learn the basic
stitches of hand sewing in a fun and educational way.
Published by Homekeeping With Grandma© A little worm teaches the back stitch as he tries to avoid a robin.
A little kangaroo demonstrates the blanket
stitch as he jumps out of and back into his mother's pouch.
After Baby Steps (which is available now) there will be
Little Stitches on the Sewing Machine, and the first of the Quilt Stories,
Abbie Colleen MacCallahan. Abbie
will be followed by two more quilt stories:
Andrew MacAllister Bear, and
Michaela Katie-Rose McBrewster. These and many more stories and homekeeping fun will be available within the coming year.
Thank you for visiting our website.
